If you are looking for a recruitment company that has a great environment (not the typical recruitment floor!), that offers a solid training programme for all consultants (doesn't depend on level), that offers uncapped commission as soon as you walk through the door, a place where progression is important (most of our Team Leads, Head of's and even our Director have started straight out of Uni/at Consultant level) - then apply today :)

Research on technology as much as you can if you don't know already it will help you understand what people are talking about on the phone when you first call people and help you have a head start but there will be lots of training offered on the job too.

Ensure you know why you're applying for this position and why you think you'd be a good fit and vice versa. Recruitment isn't a job for people who aren't sure what they want to do, it's a growing industry and you'll be expected to know why you want to enter it. Confidence is a key attribute, but so is humility and it's important to strike a balance between the two. Focus on your achievements but own up to your failures - we all have them and it's important to learn from them and move on.

I think account managers can be trained better, some of them are very lazy and scared to push back at clients when they take long to give feedback. From my perspective, if you have 5 consultants working on a clients role and they take 2 week to give CV feedback, it's unacceptable.
