What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

There are three types of law - contentious (litigation), transactional (e.g. corporate) and advisory (e.g. financial regulation). Have a think about what appeals to you in each area and try and gain relevant experience in each if possible.

Do you have any interview tips?

It is very easy to want to interrupt the interviewer when you have thought of something incredibly clever or relevant to say in answer to their question. Try to resist doing this and let them finish speaking. Sometimes they will answer your question or give you even more to build on. It can be very obvious to an interviewer when candidates think of something that they want to say and then stop listening - by all means jot your idea down but don't stop paying attention!
