What are the best and worst things about your company?
AkzoNobel are ethical in their day-to-day business. At a high level this is captured by their consistent, leading performance in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index. There are a number of opportunities around the company and you are supported in moving around a variety of roles, if this is what you want to do. You are given a good deal of responsibility from the moment you join the company and most managers will be very receptive to any ideas which you have about doing things differently, if you feel you have identified a better way of working. A social / networking movement for new employees has just kicked off this spring, supported by some of our top HR managers. Exciting! watch this space...Although the developmental + career-building opportunities are strong, the pay sometimes feels to lag behind! Having said that, do be aware that there is a good pension option, where the company will double your contributions up to 6% (translating into a 12% pre-tax extra).

What are the best and worst things about your company?
Great people to work with, a lot of support when you need it, facing real challenges from the beginningNot many clear opportunities after some level, not enough attention to your developmental needs, graduate program more fitted to the business needs rather than your own.

What are the best and worst things about your company?
Friendly colleagues. Flexibility - in terms of working hours (there is a lot of trust and independence awarded to colleagues who do their job). - in terms of projects (it is encouraged to branch into other areas that may not strictly be part of your role). Offices/facilities updated regularly. Development really encouraged and aided. Many opportunities to learn how to paint and decorate in the new academy facilities for free! Location (especially makes it hard for social activities!)

What are the best and worst things about your company?
The atmosphere and colleagues are great; friendly, approachable and you will always find someone who can help; the graduate scheme within the supply chain department offers 6 months long rotations in different teams and environments which provides a great overview of processes and interactions across the supply chain.Depending on environment and team, working hours, location flexibility and responsibility can be demanding. However, if you like a challenge and can manage your time efficiently, it should rarely be a problem.
