How would you describe your job in 2-3 lines?
I am responsible for the management and coordination of sub contractors on a small primary school refurbishment project. I monitor and report on health and safety including the site's sustainability performance.
What do you actually do on a day-to-day basis?
I carry out site inductions to operatives and supervisors, i report on the progress of the project and manage the finishing trades to the overall project programme. On a daily basis i interact with the contract managers, supervisors and operatives of the sub contractors (external customers) and the site management and commercial team including internal resources HR, Health & Safety, sustainability teams (Internal Customers).
What are the main positives and negatives to your job?
Positives: -
I'm given real responsibility and report to my superiors.
The interaction with a diverse range of people on a daily basis.
The job is very challenging and diverse.
I get lots of training to assist me in my job.

What qualifications and skills are needed to be great at this job?
A degree in a construction related subject.
Enthusiastic and positive approach.
A willingness to deal with challenges head on.
The ability to adapt with a fast changing industry.
