How would you describe your job in 2-3 lines?
My job role is to manage and co-ordinate the M&E works of construction projects. Design release, install, plant, quality assurance.
What do you actually do on a day-to-day basis?
Coordinating labour and different works packages to meet programme start and end dates. Monitoring progress and QA. Monitoring drawing release, plant requirements. Progress meetings. Health and safety; i.e. permits, weekly inspections, tool box talks, RAMS. Dealing with design issues and related interfaces between variety of construction and services packages.
What are the main positives and negatives to your job?
Variety of working environments- each day the project changes and provides new challenges. No project is ever the same. It’s a very face-to-face working environment. Very diverse group of colleagues with a variety of skills and roles. Mixture of technical involvement as well as management.

Can be exceptionally stressful. Must be able to deal with a vast amount of information and the ability to cross reference. Not so much a negative but can be very time consuming and very stressful.
What qualifications and skills are needed to be great at this job?
Man mangement, Interpersonal skills
Technical / Engineering ability. College or university
Organisational skills
IT skills, i.e. work, excel, CAD
