What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Do your research! Browse the website and check out the social media channels - Facebook, LinkedIn and particularly blogs - which have loads of great advice from current grads about what the day job is like, what the application process is like and how to succeed, etc. You could contact current grads for advice and ask them what they do, how they're finding it etc.

Don't rush the application. Allow plenty of time to practice for the verbal and numerical reasoning tests until you're comfortable with the time limit and style of questions. Be really specific if you're giving examples to demonstrate the leadership behaviours. Don't give vague examples! Ask people to proof-read and check your written answers.

Do you have any interview tips?

Remember they are looking for evidence of leadership potential, so it's your job to provide that evidence in your examples: Think of some solid anecdotes from your own life where you have demonstrated the behaviours they are looking for and make sure you go into detail. You can't go wrong with using the STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result) format when responding to interview questions.

You may be asked about new situations you've never been in before. Pause and think before answering, or say "Let me just think about that" - better to give a thoughtful, good answer than a rushed, incorrect one. Don't be daunted by corporate-sounding language - you can ask to clarify something if you're not sure what you're being asked.
