What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Tenacity is required to get onto the scheme, the application process is very long. Don't worry unduly if you do not get in first time, a failed first-run is the best preparation for a subsequent bid and will put you at an advantage against the others at FSAC/FSBs as unlike most of the competition you will know what to expect. The feedback from a failed run is also invauable for preparing for the following year's application round.
Do you have any interview tips?
For the FSB, ensure that you research your specialism in respect to government. The FSAC interview tends to be about what you have done, the FSB tends to be about what government (rather than yourself) should do, be aware of this distinction.
