Founded in 1925, from the beginning we have understood the growing part that science plays in everyday life and we have made our name as a customer focused manufacturer of innovative, naturally based chemicals.

We are committed to sustainable innovation that is applied to all aspects of our business, through the ingredients we make and the way we operate to the natural, renewable materials we use.

In 34 countries, our 4,000 employees are split across three core business sectors: Personal Care, Life Sciences (made up of Crop Care and Health Care) and Performance Technologies (made up of Coatings and Polymers, Geo Technologies, Home care, Lubricants and Polymer Additives). We also have an Industrial Chemicals business area.

Our products are sold mainly to industry, forming part of other peoples’ products. They help to make them work, to make them successful and to become the ‘household names’ that play such an important part in all our lives. You won’t find our name in the high street but you are likely to come into contact with many of our products on a daily basis.

Our success is driven by this focus on collaboration, our proactive attitude and ability to think differently. We achieve this by encouraging our people to be curious and seek out creative ways to satisfy unmet needs. They work together as one global team, empowered to use their collective skill and knowledge to grow our business.

We take pride in the intimate relationships our people have with our customers and their ability to remain close to them through our local operations. Our work with our peers supports this shared approach, influencing advancements in scientific understanding by taking part in regulatory discussions and partnering with world leading universities.

We believe in turning challenges into opportunities, embracing our responsibility to pursue sustainable growth, and ensuring that the ingredients we make and the products they are used in have ever more benefit, with ever less impact. As we continue to evolve, our focus will remain the same; a team of passionate experts dedicated to working alongside our customers, delivering to them sustainable and innovative ingredients that they can build on.

Our graduate programmes are a fantastic opportunity to be at the core of our business. We enable our graduates to reach their full potential through development and training and we are committed to providing an environment that encourages continuous development and training in which you will quickly understand the key values and skill sets required for progression.

On any of our graduate programmes you will be given responsibility from an early stage and you will complete a number of placements during the scheme at any of our sites in mainland Europe.

Employers constantly tell us that there is nothing that impresses them more than a graduate who has properly researched the company and really knows why they want to work there - so make sure that you tell them in your application that you have read-up all about them on TheJobCrowd and so you really know what makes that company great and why they are right for you. It will help your application, we promise!
