What are the best and worst things about your company?
Being in close contact with experienced senior directors and managers of the company within various functions such as Commercial, Operations, Finance and HR all under one roof. This has given me the opportunity to learn from them on a daily basis, ask them questions on specific topics and build strong working relationships. Being given responsibility from the start to work on a project all the way to its end under the guidance of my manager who is always willing to support. The diversity of the Procurement role, from data crunching and sourcing information from our sites, one day to meeting and negotiating with suppliers face-to-face the next is refreshing and exciting. Having the opportunity to take part in training across the globe as part of the Graduate Programme is rare. Can be seen as somewhat intense and fast paced if not prepared.

What are the best and worst things about your company?
Essentra is a great company to work for. The graduate scheme offers amazing training via a series of educational modules that are business related (project management, negotiation, finance to name only few of them). These come with the opportunity to travel in different sites around the globe and meet people with different backgrounds and culture. In the same time it offers hands on experience and the flexibility to rotate around different aspects of the business. At the end of the scheme the opportunities are limitless. Many graduates climbed the ranks really quickly and are holding senior management positions.Worst thing about working in Essentra is the lack of communication between the different departments and business sectors, which I believe derives from the fact that the company only operates under the brand Essentra for very short time (before that every sector of the business operated under different brands).

What are the best and worst things about your company?
Essentra offer real exposure to the company from day one which is very motivating. They couple this with a great deal of investment into their graduates by offering an International programme that allow graduates from all over the world to meet up every six months in different locations to network, visit manufacturing sites and undertake modules designed to enhance leadership and management. As with every company they are constantly evolving in particular through acquisitions.

What are the best and worst things about your company?
Graduates given good opportunities for progression, good fringe benefits offered, various travel UK and internationally, high level of responsibility given to graduates who have energy for it. Senior management seem to focus solely on short term revenue delivery, which has a negative impact on business and culture.

What are the best and worst things about your company?
Opportunity to grow and develop skills within an actual job role from Day 1. Essentra spends a lot of time and effort in developing Graduates and equipping them with the skills to excel in their particular role. The pay reviews during the Development period seem to be capped no matter how good the performance has been.
