What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Be prepared. GE is a company with a strong code of ethics and really emphasises this across the company and in the workplace. Be excellent and be yourself, the slogan for GE is "imagination at work" so make sure that your creative/innovative side really shows. This company still tries to follow the same principles of its founder, Thomas Edison.
Do you have any interview tips?
I had no HR presence in my interview, only two members of the technical team. It was also much more of a conversation than an interview. I did have to demonstrate a high level of technical understanding and show that I could fit well into the team by being agile and flexible, but still having a tangible personality.
