What are the best and worst things about your company?
The best thing about the company is the exposure available to senior management of the company. Being located in the South West, the company has a relatively laid back feel to it and encourages a good work/life balance. Additionally as the company is rapidly growing, there is a lot of opportunity to advance quickly. The worst part of the job would be the lack of additional benefits outside of standard pay and bonus. As the company is still young it is yet to develop a strong 'people culture'. So benefits such as holiday, insurances etc. are possibly sub-standard.

What are the best and worst things about your company?
From day one you are given real responsibility and involved in long term strategic projects. You are given exposure to senior management and directors from the beginning, including being mentored by the Chief Investment Officer Lee Gardhouse. It is clear that the company see you as the future leader of the business and as such you given roles that provide you with the best possible experiences to aid you in your development to reach this. It is really easy to build an incredibly strong internal network to maximize my career prospects. HL are willing to sponsor you through professional qualifications and I am already working towards my diploma in regulated financial planning. The pay/benefits are not as strong as many other graduate employers.

What are the best and worst things about your company?
Particularly on the Graduate scheme, you are regularly placed in positions of significant responsibility and you are constantly interacting with directors and senior members of the company. Not only this but the opportunities for progression are excellent. The scheme places a genuine emphasis on the individual's skills, abilities and aspirations, rather than having everyone follow the same path and progress at the same rate. The company is only based in one location, meaning there is not the opportunity to move around the country or abroad.
