What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Recruitment is a sales environment so if you come from a sales background, then you will do well in this type of role but your candidate is your product, therefore if you have good people management skills this is the job for you. I would suggest to have pictures or colour onto your CV to take make yourself stand out or represent yourself as a lot of people apply for jobs within recruitment. Do research before on successful recruitment consultants and find out tips on what it is that makes them successful.

Do you have any interview tips?

Be prepared for questions around recruitment (why you want to work in recruitment or what you know about recruitment). I don't believe it is critical but if you have an idea of what sector you are interested in within recruitment and provide some market knowledge around that sector. Before the interview, I would prepare a list of strongest and weakest skills, so the strongest skills make you stand out and your weaknesses aren't big enough for it to affect you from doing well in recruitment.
