What are the best and worst things about your company?
A much more collegiate and amicable atmosphere than other investment banks.Still seen as a poor relation by many in the investment banking world.

What are the best and worst things about your company?
Every day is different. Supportive atmosphere, very collegiate. Given lots of responsibility on the grad scheme, and able to actually have important impact on each rotation. Exciting work, good level of pressure. Lots of opportunity to learn throughout the scheme. A number of organised events and opportunities to meet new people. Early mornings. Rather long days. Not having so much to do at beginning of rotations on grad scheme when just getting up to speed with systems and team.

What are the best and worst things about your company?
Great culture, everyone is very friendly and helpful. Grads are given proper responsibilities that allow you to contribute to your team and business in general.Being such a big company, there is a lot of red tape and hence can be a bit slow at times. It's also a challenge to collate information when you need to get it from different locations across the globe.

What are the best and worst things about your company?
The people are the best thing about my company. They are open minded and ready to help whenever I have questions, which has helped me immensely in getting around the workplace. It would be great if the office had better coffee vending machines and bigger break out areas so people can have informal meetings, as meeting resources are always fully booked.

What are the best and worst things about your company?
International travel. HSBC is a global company and securities services is a global business. On a daily basis you might talk to New York, Hong Kong and Singapore. Access to senior management. Within the first week and throughout the programme you work directly with very senior people. Rotational scheme. You get knowledge on Risk, Sales, Products and operations throughout the rotations. Structure of scheme isn't completely set out and HR can take time to properly organise the rotations.

What are the best and worst things about your company?
The people! HSBC chooses it's people on their values and behaviours, not on their CV. Whilst that is important too, one thing you'll find is very like-minded people who are genuinly really kind. The atmosphere of friendliness is like no other company, and everyone, no matter how important they are, will always stop and help you whenever you need.
