What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Do your research - there is no excuse for mistakes in applications when there is plenty of information on the HSBC website available for all to read before they apply. Research the company and the roles available extensively before choosing what area of the bank to apply to.
Do you have any interview tips?
Be honest and know your CV. You should be able to recite your CV off the top of your head and expand on points to answer competency questions. Ultimately you want to be remembered by the interviewer for the right reasons and a genuine person with an interesting background and clear passion will always be remembered more favourably. Also, it doesn't hurt to know the HSBC share price before stepping into the interview!
