Application Advice:

One page CV, no more. Also apply individually not with agents.

Interview Advice:

Improve your C skills. Make your spouse want to/be able to relocate with you.

Graduate Research Engineer, Graphic research at Imagination Technologies

Application Advice:

Create your CV based on the job specification and make your best attributes stand out. Be precise and avoid putting knowledge of tasks that you can't feel comfortable enough to explain.

Interview Advice:

The interview is very technical, so make sure you know your basics and depending on the role have some more in-depth knowledge. Make sure you are able to describe everything stated on your CV explicitly and with great detail. Be positive and enthusiastic and show motivation and your willingness to learn new things.

Application Advice:

- Make projects you have worked on visible in your application, even if not so relevant with role. Explain what was your role in them and be ready to prove it
- Many departments have a lot of information online about what they are working/have worked on:

Interview Advice:

- Revise the basics of GPU pipeline and real time rendering techniques
- Revise general programming questions concerning standard data structures (lists, maps, graphs etc) and algorithms (sorting etc.)

Application Advice:

The process is deliberately simple (They don't waste your time on lengthy forms and there are no "assessment centres).

They don't expect you to have lots of experience if you are joining as a graduate so your chances are better than you think.

Interview Advice:

Find a way to show your interest in cutting edge technology (even if it's not directly related to Imaginations current product areas).

Graduate Engineer, Graphics at Imagination Technologies

Application Advice:

Don't claim to be a pro at something when you're not, but make sure you put down all of your skills and experiences down.

Interview Advice:

Do some research on the company before the interview and don't be afraid to say you don't know something.

Application Advice:

There are a range of roles and offices. Find out if you prefer breadth of experience or depth of expertise before you apply.

Interview Advice:

Ask questions and don't be afraid to negotiate. If you don't ask, you won't get.

Application Advice:

If you think you don't know enough, don't worry. You'll realise you know nothing when you start. Your learning is only just the beginning.

Interview Advice:

You need to be open minded. Have good enthusiasm, confidence and judgement.

Application Advice:

Application Advice:

Don't hesitate on applying, the company is a great place to start a career.

Interview Advice:

Prepare yourself with the usual IT job interview questions and relax, everybody I've met here is friendly.

Graduate Engineer, Video Sim at Imagination Technologies

Application Advice:

Difficult as my current role was an internal transfer. We are looking for engineers who want to take a management route so apply somewhere else within the company, establish yourself, and then if you have an urge to get into management then try to make the jump. I also obtained a summer placement with the company which gave me a good feel for the place- I'd recommend Summer Placements to anyone anywhere as they're a great extended interview and it gives a great idea of company fit.

Interview Advice:

Mentioning previous projects you've worked on is always good- you're usually very involved in something at University or outside of it and the enthusiasm is easy to convey. You'll come across confidently as very few if any people will understand this project as well as you do.

Project Engineer, SoC Development at Imagination Technologies

Application Advice:

Do not move to the site, Kings langley. Live in london and commute.

Interview Advice:

Be yourself, try to be creative.

Hardware design engineer, Video and Graphics at Imagination Technologies

Application Advice:

Make your CV clear with only the things you really know, not things that you learnt or used a long time in the past. Otherwise, you can be asked about them in the interview and, if you show that you really don't know them, it will be a negative for your CV because people could think that you said that you knew other things but probably you don't.

Interview Advice:

The role says clearly that it is a job where you are going to program in C, so review all the books in C you may know and as much knowledge as you have in C because the interview is completely based in C. It would be also a good thing to find a book with interview questions because that will help you prepare even though we ask different questions in the interviews.

Application Advice:

It's okay (even expected) to use the internet or have development software open when doing the online C/C++ test .

Application Advice:

This is a very mixed role so make sure you highlight all of your skills that are related to Hardware and 3D Graphics or even skills like scripting which can also be a benefit for the position. Also, this position requires more soft skills than an average engineering position so it will be good to include any customer related experience in your CV even if it is unrelated.

Interview Advice:

Revising both your digital system and soft skill answers is a must!

Application Advice:

Like always, be honest. If you are applying to a hardware job, but have limited hardware experience, this will become obvious very quickly if you try and lie. Be prepared to have an online assessment.

Interview Advice:

My interview was very technical so do some homework on logic design. Also expect the usual "What are your strengths/weaknesses?" type questions.

Graduate Hardware Engineer, IMGWorks at Imagination Technologies

Application Advice:

Enthusiasm is always a big bonus- showing an interest in technology beyond that expected/ covered by your studies is important.

Interview Advice:

Stay calm- the interviews are really informal and nothing to worry about. I didn't have a vast amount of programming knowledge when I interviewed but I was invited to explain things on my own terms and this relaxed atmosphere (which permeates Imagination Technologies) really helped me to explain without feeling out of my depth.

Application Advice:

For a grad, a little bit of lots of things is better than knowing everything about a specific area.

Interview Advice:

Don't be surprised that you're asked Hardware questions when applying for a Software role.
