What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Get as much work experience as possible! The more varied the better, as it will give you more to talk about if you get to the interview stage and it will help fill the application with a commentary that is actually relevant to the property industry. Do not make it something that could be sent off to any big corporate.

If you do not have any relevant experience, do not let it put you off applying, JLL are always looking to take on non-cognate students with backgrounds beyond real estate. Just be sure to clearly identify your transferable skills and clarify what you think makes them relevant to various business-lines within the company.

Do you have any interview tips?

As per the above, if you have relevant work experience, talk about it whenever the opportunity arises and be as technical as you can be. If you can readily utilise terminology that the interviewer uses on a daily basis with clients and colleagues, it shows that you are already on your way. Do not pretend to be the finished article; modesty often goes a long way.
