What are the best and worst things about your company?
The people and the job itself is enjoyable. Kier offer a lot of support and learning opportunities and a lot of benefits like a share scheme and Kier foundation etc.All jobs are temporary so you can not get too comfortable. Site hours are long.

What are the best and worst things about your company?
The support you get as a graduate from Kier is exceptional, from a team dedicated to ensuring you receive the correct training to developing your skills as engineers, to managers on-site that are welcoming and supportive of your needs to develop. The hours are long, which can be extremely tiring and demoralising, especially when sometimes this additional effort is not reflected in overtime pay.

What are the best and worst things about your company?
You are given a lot of responsibility from a very early stage in your development which enhances your learning. There are numerous training courses, graduate forums, inductions etc. to benefit from. Many of these are optional with Kier putting your development into your own hands, at your own pace. Personally, I am from a Business Management undergraduate background, currently undertaking an MSC in Quantity Surveying, funded by Kier which is directly applicable to my daily role. The business are also putting me through my Chartership over the first two years which is an indication of how much the business will back graduates. I also feel wholly incorporated in to the Groups vision, with staff development being a key focus as already highlighted. This is evident with the amount of graduates who are now in the directorship team within. Our Vision 2020 strategy is well published and communicated effectively.

What are the best and worst things about your company?
Investment in training for graduates. Flexibility to experience a variety of roles within the business. Good remuneration package for graduates. Working as part of an experienced team to deliver high quality projects from Pre-Construction through to Project Completion. Sometimes a lack of communication/clarity in what is required. What are the best and worst things about your company?
The pay is excellent when compared with similar roles and perks like a company car are very welcome. There are a wide variety of training courses and these are generally well done and high quality.Potentially long hours if you work on site.
