Ensure your CV stands out - Emphasise your degree in detail such as the topics you covered and the skills you developed.

If you have done any internships or full-time work, advertise this clearly and concisely, present your responsibilities and achievements while working there.

It is important to show you are applying for roles in recruitment and you have done research in the industry, write a short intro showing your knowledge and your desire to join the industry.

Put your CV on all of the job boards and LinkedIn.

Interview Advice:

Study your CV initially, become comfortable in discussing your experience and going into some detail on certain aspects. The first interview is quite casual and you will get a lot of information on the company. Do some research to form some additional questions.

In the second round, you will have to do a role play - It is great to research objection handling in sales for this. You will also need to prepare a 5-10 minute presentation - Fill it with detail and also personality as that is important for the business.

Make sure you are really committed to working in recruitment. It is a sales based role and requires you to be driven and determined to earn money. The help and support through the training and development is given to you however I would outline why you are driven to work in a competitive, sales recruitment environment on your CV. Having it spell checked and everything like that is a given. Don’t be afraid to put extracurricular activities such as sports or volunteer work. I know the internal recruitment team like this in a person.

Interview Advice:

Be yourself. The internal recruitment team will want to find out more about you outside of work. It’s as much about the opportunity and Leap29 being the right business for you as well as your credentials being what the internal recruitment team and the managers look for.
