What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
I would advise candiadates to read around current insurance issues (the Lloyds website is really useful for accessing free resources) and really think about the key challenges facing the industry e.g. use of technology and big data.
Remember that insurance is a people and connections driven business so work on networking skills as these will be assessed along with how easily you fit in with the people potentially looking to hire you.
