Expect to go on site in all weathers rain or shine. Being an excellent communicator is vital, from conducting yourself with the subcontractors to presenting material to the client. Being a confident individual is also equally important when it comes to variations and settling accounts.

Know about the construction market and who the key players are. Understand what the pitfalls of the construction industry are (e.g. ICT) and how the market is going to evolve, because it has to, and the next generation is going to change this.
