What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Try to research the contracts that Mott MacDonald has with water companies, and also the joint ventures the company has with other organisations in helping to deliver these contracts. Having an understanding of the collaboration with other engineering consultants and also contractors will really set you apart.
It is also useful to understand the AMP cycle in the water industry, and if possible to understand the changes that take place in regulations between these cycles.
Do you have any interview tips?
A lot of emphasis is placed on carbon reduction, so be prepared to put forward ideas as to how carbon emissions can be reduced in construction design.
