What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Voluntary work is very helpful when applying to be a graduate ecologist. Therefore it is important to start trying to obtain this as early as possible (when in university).

Do you have any interview tips?

Questions asked usually contain "What attracted you to the company?", "What are you hoping to gain from the position?", "Do you understand that you will sometimes have to work awkward hours?". There will often be tests to determine how much you know, such as asking you to write short methodologies, based on theoretical situations. There is almost always a test, based on identification of plants and animals (particularly protected species).
