Application Advice:

Make sure you visit the different PH properties and get a real feel for the company you are applying to work for & the kind of seemless service you will be delivering.

Interview Advice:

Preperation is key - read up about the company and do your research. Make sure to read the PH Hotels Blog as it is really helpful!

Research the hotel industry such as the main competitors, and keep abreast of the developments in the market place.

Application Advice:

Don`t use a cover letter that you have used for other applications. Our Graduate recruitment team are highly experienced and will spot a cover letter that has been generalised a mile off.
Highlight all customer-facing experience you have, even working in a pub over the summer. All experience is experience!

Interview Advice:

Be enthusiastic. There is nothing more important than seeing a hospitality graduate excited about hospitality and hotels in an interview.
Do your research! PH has a long and varied history, and illustrating your knowledge of the comany's past will go a long way. It is also a group that is constantly updating its portfolio of hotels and conference venues, so understanding that will certainly help.
During your assessment centre, make sure to introduce yourself to everyone in the room, there is no way you will get on to a hotel graduate scheme without being amiable and hospitable!
And personally for me, your interview starts once you walk through the entrance. You should treat the receptionist as though they are interviewing you.
