Graduate Job
Trainee Solicitor (Training Contract)
at Shoosmiths

Employer: Shoosmiths

Shoosmiths’ focus on people, relationships and results has defined its achievements for more than 160 years.

A modern, forward-looking national commercial firm with a dedicated team of lawyers and strong support team, in 10 offices throughout the UK, from Southampton to Edinburgh.

Our client list speaks volumes for the quality of our lawyers and the experience they provide. From Hewlett-Packard to Krispy Kreme and property developers to some of the UK's largest banks, we work with a growing number of the FTSE 250 and some of the world's most exciting and ambitious growth businesses.

We are a full service firm offering a variety of services in commercial, real estate, corporate and finance.

Over two years, you will complete four six-month placements, one of which could be a secondment to a client’s in-house legal team, providing an invaluable insight from the client’s perspective.

We recruit bright graduates, training them to become innovative solicitors who can provide a quality service to our clients.

We are recruiting trainee solicitors to commence their training contract in September 2019. This means you must have completed your LPC (and GDL if applicable) by this date. Though you do not have to have completed it at the time of your application.

We highly recommend candidates apply to attend an insight evening at the firm, and a one-week placement so you can meet us, learn more about the firm and the type of work that you’ll be doing, and decide whether this is the right firm for your long term career in law.
