What are the best and worst things about your company?
Taylor Wessing has a great culture and gives trainees high levels of responsibility. Supervisors invest a lot in your development, for example by ensuring you're getting a good-quality workload which is diverse and interesting, or by involving you in client meetings and phone calls on a very regular basis.

What are the best and worst things about your company?
- The firm successfully promotes a friendly and open culture. All members of staff are approachable and easy to get along with. This is really important in achieving a collegiate approach to the work we do. - The types of client are varied and interesting. As Taylor Wessing is one of the few firms in the city with a private client practice, you experience individual clients as well as the larger corporate clients. Also, as our industry focus is around life sciences / technology etc. many of the client contacts are interesting and have different personalities. The firm ensures you get a lot of contact with clients. - You are never treated as a general admin assistant. The firm tries to help you develop and learn, which is vital upon qualification.- Like any city firm, the hours can be long at times. However, the firm is very appreciative and does not expect you to work for the sake of it. - Seat selection could arguably be more transparent at times. - There is variation between fee earners and departments over the amount of responsibility you are given. Some prefer to give you lots and others manage you more heavily.
