What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

Being part of a valued team, who work together and communicate well. We all value each other, and are valued by the wider team. We all encourage each other and are willing to help.
As an apprentice I feel welcome, and able to further my learning comfortably, but it is also great that you learn a lot just from your team, whether it is quirks of the job role, their past experiences, or information directly related to your course.

Worst

Finance is a huge area of a company, there are so many areas within it to explore and learn. I wish I could take in all the information quicker so that I can further my understanding and experiences sooner, but there is so much to take in, there is a standard pace you have to follow to cover everything sufficiently.
I am not as quick of a study as I would like!

What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: £17,000 - £19,000

Current salary: £17,000 - £19,000

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Don't undersell your skills.
Make sure you have a clear, concise CV, that shows qualifications, but also takes the time to explain what skills you have gained from any and all previous experiences.
It is important to emphasise the skills you have that will be best suited to the role you are applying for.
Don't oversell these though as you want to make an impression as someone who works hard, and knows the value of their experience and skills, not as someone who exaggerates.

Do you have any interview tips?

Be confident, be yourself, make sure you behave and dress appropriately (even if the interview is virtual).
If you are seriously interested in the job you are applying for then make the extra effort to show that - research the company, find our what their values are, what their goals are, what charity work they do. Then if appropriate you can try to incorporate this into part of the interview to show your commitment and interest in the company as well as the job.
