What are the Best and Worst things about your job?
Best
the company has a high turnover (revenue, staff, parts, contractors, etc) so there is a lot to learn.
some very skilful people work here or visit.
no significant changes occur - same routine daily.
Worst
not a meritocracy - useless people are promoted and wont leave
no significant changes occur - so no improvements happen only devolutions.
they company would rather invest in machines than people; the apprenticeship here has not taken into account RPL or experience and consequently I'm studying a qualification lower than what I already achieved.
What is the annual salary for this role?
Starting salary: £15,000 - £17,000
Current salary: £27,000 - £29,000
What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
have a family member as a manager; know the manager before the job come outs or be overqualified for the position.
you can't prepare as you will be asked questions not relevant to the role and talked about opportunities in the company (which don't exist)
