Express a keen interest for data/technology. Demonstrate a customer centric focus, as dunnhumby is all about doing what is right for the customer. Read the job description thoroughly and ask the company questions so that you completely understand the role on offer and understand exactly the type of day-to-day work you will be doing (job descriptions tend to be very vague).

Do your research about retail. dunnhumby holds its capabilities very close, so it is hard to know exactly what we do internally, but it is important to show that you understand how dunnhumby supports Tesco and other retailers. And go to a supermarket, walk around and try and understand what is important for shoppers, and why it is important to focus on things like: the range of products, price, promotion and in-store environment.
