The work is interesting. I can live outside of London but still get a good quality of national/international work. There is also a good degree of responsibility given to me. I am also luckily in that I get on very well with my colleagues who help provide a great working environment.

The people I work with are all really friendly and nice and make it easier to work, people help me learn new things and are willing to help train me and it's also not too far from where I live.

Application Advice:
Know the firm and the work that they do - just even reading the firms news feed can be helpful. Apart from that be aware of the Yorkshire legal market, and think about why you want to come work here long term.
Don't just go for obvious answers - your application is far more likely to get noticed if you say something a bit unusual.
Interview Advice:
My interview was fairly informal - know why you want to come here and just remember that the firm is buying into your personality so you might as well be yourself.
Be friendly, approachable and honest. Ultimately if you are not given the offer it is much because the firm doesn't think they suit you as that you are not right for the job.

Draw from a range of experiences when asked to demostrate skills and experience (i.e. some from academic activities, some from extra-curricular activities, some from work experience or part time jobs, some from sports teams or hobbies e.t.c) to show that you are well rounded.
Interview Advice:
Ensure personality shines through rather than focusing solely on your "on paper" attributes.
Have a positive attitude and be confident, if you are asked how you think certain parts of the application process went (e.g. a group assessment or mock negotiation) make sure you look for positive aspects.
