Come to one of our campus events and speak to the team - it's the best way to get a sense of what working at Markaon is like. If you can't do that, get in contact with one of us via LinkedIn or similar. (I did this before applying and found it really beneficial.)

Application Advice:
The firm's primary interest is in how you think and communicate, not what you know. That said, read up on the commentaries on our website to get a feel for the language used and focus areas.
Generally a very modest and down to earth bunch.
Come along to as many events as you can and speak to as many employees as you can. Everyone will be happy to help.
For undergraduate hires, think whether you want to be a generalist or specialise early. Nature of the firm means that everyone is a generalist for the first few years, and can continue as a generalist beyond that.
Think about why you might fit with a small firm and whether you are keen to be involved in firm-building activities.
Interview Advice:
Firm places a lot of emphasis on being humble - it's great to be confident but don't be afraid of saying you don't know something.
Polish up on maths and basic business terms - there's no need to dive in to cases with a thorough framework but being able to talk around the issues is obviously essential.
Think all questions / cases through from first principles and show how your thinking develops.
Think about a few current business challenges that interest you (either company- or industry-specific), come prepared with something to say on them.
Expect fit questions to be very probing and answer them honestly. The honest answer will be received better than the one that sounds best.
