We do really engaging and interesting work, especially since joining the wider Teneo group, which always involves true collaboration.
The international travel opportunities are also handled very well - there are increasing options available but individual preferences and restrictions are taken into account, in ways which do not affect job performance.

The best things are the variety of things you do on a daily basis and the amount you learn and the diversity of skills you pick up in a very short period of time - lots of days I leave work having learned how to do something I didn't know how to do the day before. You constantly push your own limits professionally.

You need to show why consulting and why Teneo specifically. Don't be generic

Practice case studies, and be nice and humble - the personal part of the interview matters just as much as the analytical one.

Be sure to highlight both your academic as well as non-academic achievement (they take notice of non-academic/professional qualities as well!)
Interview Advice:
There was a CV screening stage and an online test. Following this, there were 2 rounds of interviews. The interviewers were all very friendly and helpful. I was (admittedly) fairly nervous but I found that they weren't out to 'grill' me but were genuinely interesting in hearing what I had to say!

Application Advice:
Focus on the relevant skills you have started to develop and be ready to give evidence of where they have been used, and what the outcome was.
Don't over-inflate your experiences, as this will be clear to whoever is reading your application.
Interview Advice:
Remember that the interviewer is on your side, and try to not be too nervous. Practice the case study element with friends to get into the habit of thinking through a problem before launching into the answer.
Remember that one of the things you are being assessed on is whether you could be put in front of a client, so act professionally throughout.

Anything you write on your CV should discuss the impact you had in the particular role you played.
Interview Advice:
When making assumptions on a case study interview, choose easy numbers to multiply. Research the industries the company operates in and the trends within these markets.

Attend recruitment events (especially our Introduction to Strategy Day) to meet people in person and get a feel for the company - it will allow you to make a more accurate assessment of your fit at Teneo, and will also help you to make your application stand out.
Interview Advice:
Do as much preparation as you can - both for the case interview and the CV/fit interview. But don't allow that preparation to leave you rigid and inflexible - engage with your interviewer and be reactive to the specific questions that they are asking you on the day.

Application Advice:
Prepare! Do practice case studies before the real deal. Always think before you speak - this is a skill which not many people naturally have, make sure to practice it before you do an interview. Always sense-check your answers - is what you are saying reasonable? Does it make sense?
Interview Advice:
Interviews follow a pretty standard consulting interview pattern - CV chats, case studies, and finally a partner presentation with some prep time. Our interviewers are generally nice and helpful, we're not trying to make you fail. In general, being reasonable and showing you can think in a structured way is more important than getting to the right answer. Always read all the information you're given, ask sensible questions, sense-check your answers, and engage with the interviewer. Preparation is key: practice mental maths (especially under pressure!), case studies, as well as open-ended qualitative "so what" questions. Make sure to prepare for the CV chat as well. Lots of people struggle providing coherent answers to very simple questions. Even if a question is straightforward and you know what you'd like to answer, take a second to structure your response before you launch into it. And finally, be friendly and communicative! We are looking for nice colleagues who are capable of working in teams. Not being able to take direction from the interviewer, or not being able to ask sensible questions if you're unsure of something, is a bad sign.

The interviewers want you to succeed, so listen to what they are saying during the case studies.
Don’t be afraid to show your personality. Teneo Consulting has a very friendly and open office culture and it’s important for the interviewer to get to know you.

Interview Advice:
There are plenty of resources that cater towards the case study portion of the interview process. Read through these and practice as many as possible to get comfortable with the format - this will make a huge difference when it comes to them interviews themselves!

Best:
My colleagues are all smart, hardworking, and interesting people that I enjoy spending time with and learning from
Worst:
We are a part of larger firm (Teneo) and only the management consulting arm, whereas the majority of the company is strategic communications and advisory, and it is difficult for external parties to differentiate between us and the rest of the company

Teneo genuinely cares about employee wellbeing, and has a lot of processes (formal and informal) in place to support people
I get on very well with all of my colleagues, and kindness is highly valued
The remuneration is market leading

Worst:
The company is growing very quickly. While this provides a lot of opportunities, it does mean hours can be long and there can be a lot of responsibility early on

Best:
Company culture/environment - everyone is super nice and the upper management genuinely cares for the wellbeing of all employees! Also, internally everyone is quite committed to ensuring cohesion so its almost like a work 'family' once you join.
Worst:
Nothing really - although if you're expecting a massive firm with 50 offices worldwide this is not that kind of firm.
However, the firm does have enough international presence such that there are some overseas offices, and enough opportunity for travel if that's what you're after.

Best:
The people , the training, the work and the future prospects - we are currently growing rapidly and it is a very exciting time to be at Teneo, with lots of new opportunities opening up.
The management is also a definite upside. Everyone is kept very 'in-the-loop' about the project pipeline, staffing and other business news. Senior members of the team are also very approachable.
Worst:
There are a couple of cultural adjustments to be made as we integrate into the wider Teneo, but these are being handled well so far.
