What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Ask as many questions as possible. Really find out if it relates to your degree and the type of work you want to do. I only realised that this was the correct path for me by asking questions about the job, training and general culture of the firm. Sometimes people do not want to ask about the culture but I find this to be one of the most important things about a role. I like to socialise and I was pleased to know that I would be going into a company with the type of culture I was looking for.
Do you have any interview tips?
This is a cliché but very true - always be yourself. You will never guess what an interviewer is looking for so just make sure you are relaxed yet professional and you can't really go wrong. Also, be very aware when doing group work - you want to be the person who is contributing enough to the group, yet recognising when others are not being heard. It always looks good to pay particular attention to these individuals and ask them directly for their contribution. This demonstrates that you aware of your surroundings and actively listening to what everyone has to say.
