What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
For both the application form and interview take time to do research around the industry and get familiar with relevant talking points. Some background on the sponsor companies will help also, they are paying for you to complete the scheme at the end of the day.
Do you have any interview tips?
Ask lots of questions, the interview is about you finding out about the job just as much as it is about nucleargraduates finding out about you.
You can’t prepare for the majority of it so don’t worry too much. For the technical presentation which you can prepare for, make sure you are well rehearsed and able to describe what you are presenting to someone not familiar with the topic. Communication on of complicated topics on different levels is an important skill for any engineer or scientist.
