Be aware that persuasion is a massive skill that you need in recruitment; not only if you're a recruitment consultant but to work in the sector in general.
Communication is also very important to ensure you understand your clients needs and that you can provide a suitable solution to them.
You also need to be prepared to commit more than the '9-5'!
