Application Advice:
Like many regional firms, HR receives hundreds of applications each year, so make your application as bespoke and specific to the firm as possible. It is not necessary to have connections with the South-West, as long as you are able to justify why this location appeals to you.
Interview Advice:
The interview is conducted by a partner and member of HR. Try to provide thoughtful answers that you are able to justify if probed further (do not worry about pausing). There is no right or wrong answer, the interviewers are interested to see how you think and respond to challenges. It is not necessary to read the FT - however, I would recommend keeping abreast with current business news, from sources such as BBC, and changes in the legal sector.
