Research in depth the practice areas of the firm so that you can make an informed decision of which type of law you are interested in and might want to qualify into.
Have an open mind - you don't always know what you will and won't enjoy about the work until you are willing to try.
Interview Advice:
Research one or two deals the firm has been involved in that you think are interesting and use them as reasons to explain why this firm, why this type of law etc.
Really practice on explaining your competencies well so that you can showcase your skills and experiences.
Always be prepared to explain your choices i.e. why are you interested in X type of law, why did you choose to apply now, why this firm and not magic circle etc.

Do your research - it's not hard to plug a firm's name into Google News and see what they've been up to recently. If you regurgitate W&C's website, it'll be very obvious!
Interview Advice:
If you didn't read law at university, be prepared to explain why, and what steps you're taking to broaden/deepen your knowledge and understanding of law beyond the GDL and LPC. Also be ready to explain any weak grades throughout your academic career.
