Starting salary: £0 - £12,000

Current salary: £13,000 - £15,000

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

I would recommend filling out every form to the most/best detail you can provide, this is so the application will not come back to you and ask for more detail. From my experience, I could have put more into the application forms which would have saved me time. Put forward your enthusiasm into the application and specific points about yourself that you feel stand out.

Do you have any interview tips?

I would advise candidates to ensure that they perform a bit of background research about the company and try to make their interview original. For example, by saying something out of the ordinary when asked why you want the job role is a good thing to do and I recommend this as it worked well for me. I found that it is also good to show your enthusiasm with the questions asked by the interviewer. Questions such as why are you interested in this role? What could you bring to 3M? These are good to have prepared answers for.
It is good to also show your personality and show how you would deal with conflict in a grown up manner, as problem-solving is a huge part of my IT job role.
