What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

My colleagues are brilliant and understanding. They are always on hand if I need extra explaining or talking through something new.

I enjoy the work that I am given and appreciate all of the experience and opportunities that I have been granted so far. I am able to attend court and communicate with clients.

Worst

Due to working in London, the commute can be annoying sometimes, however this would be the case in any city job.

What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: £17,000 - £19,000

Current salary: £17,000 - £19,000

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Make sure that your personal statement is tailored to yourself and your interests as well as showing how much you enjoy the subject area you want to enter.

I had a telephone interview before my in-person interview so make sure you have a quiet space to conduct the call. This telephone interview was centred around my application so I would suggest having a copy of the application to hand, and read it beforehand so you are completely refreshed.

Do you have any interview tips?

My interview was in 3 parts. A written essay, (which was focused on the disadvantages and advantages of an apprenticeship over university), the presentation on a topic of your choice and then an interview.
The process lasted about 1 hour 30 minutes.
Essay: I had a choice of 3 questions, so you can choose the one that you feel most comfortable with. I was stressed about this as I thought the topics would be really specific.
Presentation: choose a topic that you can really invest yourself in, it's more about showing your passion for something as well as your verbal communication skills. Be yourself, talk as you would normally.
Interview: be honest. Prepare yourself for classic interview questions so that they will not come as a surprise. Any questions you are asked that you were not expecting might be easier to handle as you have already prepared others.
