What are the Best and Worst things about your job?
Best
The job itself is fun and gives me something to look forward to in the morning unlike sixth form .... Apart from that though I would say one of the big ones is the team. They're brilliant.
Worst
Realistically, the worst part of the job is the way they treat you like a child but expect you to work like adults who have been here for 3+ years. Now that's not to say responsibility is bad its fun but the whole situation can be quite frustrating.
What is the annual salary for this role?
Starting salary: £15,000 - £17,000
Current salary: £15,000 - £17,000
What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
It's tough, it's a challenging job with high demands however the right engineer with the right motivations will fit in and get on with it.
Do you have any interview tips?
be yourself, don't be stressed I know I was but there is no point. my interviewers ended up being my team manager and a couple of my colleagues but the part of my interview that set me apart was showing curiosity and staying after the interview to interview my interviewees effectively. and at Severn Trent, they love it when new talent is already showing off one of the 4 company principles.
