Lots of variety to each day, good learning opportunities, welcome in all settings and everyone is happy to explain anything in detail especially engineering terms I had no understanding of

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Know what you want, make sure that you have read the job description and understand the company and its future to ensure that your application is tailored to those requirements, emphasize the key transferable skills and be inquisitive
Do you have any interview tips?
Research! I had to create a powerpoint about a theoretical job and present it the following day I could bring up some company knowledge that impressed them because I had read the website, make notes to refer to with key points you want make sure to bring up, some surprise questions were asked but logical answers required rather than exact, have examples of leadership and planning etc think about how they could be relevant and the skills learnt
