What are the Best and Worst things about your job?
Best
The best thing about my job is the valuable skills that you can gain. The business is so broad that we really can enter any industry. I enjoy the challenge that the job brings and how it has developed me as a person from when I left sixth form to now. The apprenticeship scheme prepares you for life in the working environment, and the sooner you can learn it the better.
Worst
It was very daunting at the start, and you are thrown in at the deep end. There are many lessons to be learnt and bridges that have to be crossed, but these are possible with the skills and determination that you get from the job. Sometimes colleagues view apprentices as incapable, however it is always good to prove them wrong.
What is the annual salary for this role?
Starting salary: £17,000 - £19,000
Current salary: £19,000 - £21,000
What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Be clear and concise, carefully communicate your skills and competencies, show the best version of yourself but do not lie. During assessment days, the company will be able to see your true efforts.
Do you have any interview tips?
Definitely do some research about the company - know what you are talking about. Appear professional and arrive on time. Practice beforehand but don't overdo it - you want to show them a true representation of yourself, as this is what the company will be working with day to day.
