What are the Best and Worst things about your job?
Best
The best thing about my job is that I am able to go to university one day per week and work at the same time getting support with my uni work and physical work from more experienced colleagues. Having support from the whole of the team at Galliford Try is one of the best things about my job as this enables me to learn a great deal more than I would as a full time student at university. As well as this my job role is never boring as I am problem solving everyday at work.
What is the annual salary for this role?
Starting salary: £23,000 - £25,000
Current salary: £23,000 - £25,000
What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
When applying for this job role, ensure that you use your most updated CV, some companies may look for certain things in your CV such as a driving license, previous work experience and school/college results. As well as this make sure that you are honest on your application. Furthermore, make sure that you have a detailed enough cover letter if it is required as a part of the application.
Do you have any interview tips?
When attending the interview ensure that you are on time roughly 5-15 minutes early and dressed professionally, this is really important as it gives your interviewer the impression you have professional standards. From first hand experience, I recommend that you bring a folder with certain information such as a driving license, national insurance certificate, passport, previous school and college results and some written down questions that you may have for the interviewer. A great example of a question you may want to ask is "what work might I doing daily if I were successful in getting the job?"
