What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

complex project work- very interesting and diverse
getting the opportunity's to be able to work within the community
volunteering as part of the scheme

Worst

expect a high workload- wouldn't say its a bad thing you just need to be prepared
keeping up with movement around the departments- remembering you are a trainee and others may be moving up so you could have more than one line manager during your education.

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

I think the best bit of advice I could give, is to not give up if the course is something you really want to do. You may not get through round 2 of the interviews your first time around, but you learn about what you need to do to achieve your goals and its about using that information to better yourself as an applicant. I would say be yourself and don't give up.

Do you have any interview tips?

Create a portfolio of potential interview answers, study que cards so that your not reading from a script. Put in the hours to create an informative presentation and consider the company values and processes, show that you understand them within the presentation. If you know someone internally, pick their brains and don't feel afraid to ask questions.
