What are the Best and Worst things about your job?
Best
-It's so varied
-I'm travelling to new places a lot, colleagues all over England have become friends and we look forward to coming together for our training sessions.
-Accountability-I have my own tasks that I am responsible for and can take ownership in delivering outputs.
-Support
-Training
-Career prospects
Worst
-Differing processes between workstreams. This can be challenging because you become used to working a certain way then you're given a new challenge. Sometimes you have to work with the process that's already in place to make it work for you and get the right result.
This being said, it keeps the job varied and I'm able to share these lessons learned with my team to develop clean processes.

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Be open-minded. I never thought I would end up in Gas, but the job role sounded varied and I was passionate about building a career with a company that I could stay with. It was the best decision I ever made!
Do you have any interview tips?
Be prepared. You don't have to be an expert on Gas for a trainee/apprenticeship role but by making an effort to research the basics it shows you are passionate and keen to learn.
