What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

Learning new things, applying the learning in practical problem solving, being able to do more each month as understanding grows, great work/life balance which is extremely important as I have young children, fantastic culture at work with everyone being really supportive of one another.

Worst

Three isn't much as I really enjoy what I do. Getting frustrated with myself sometimes with wanting to be able to do more initially but I came to terms with the fact this is normal and it takes time to skill build. Accepting I can do part of a task rather than the whole thing.

What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: £19,000 - £21,000

Current salary: £19,000 - £21,000

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Fire out as many applications as you can, you will get knocked back by plenty (which is fine) and get through to different stages on others. Be honest on application and interviews, don;t try to 'blag' anything - if you don't know just say so but that you are looking to develop your understanding. Look at the key skills and attributes required for the role and ensure ou highlight these in your applications.

Do you have any interview tips?

Above all be honest and communicate clearly. The application tells them your existing qualifications - they are partially interested in those bits of paper but as interested, if not more so, in who YOU are in terms of your personal attributes. Are you someone who is supportive of others, hard working, willing to keep learning, organised, and so on.

Of the 100+ people who applied they told me that I got the job largely down to the examples I talked through about helping my previous colleagues in their issues as the company culture is all about helping each other and continuing to learn.

Give examples whenever you discuss what you have done to make it tangible and relatable. Do NOT make things up.
