What are the Best and Worst things about your job?
Best
I enjoy fixing problems so problem-solving and using your knowledge and skills to overcome issues. Making better products for the factory plus the training, experience and opportunities we are given.
Worst
As we are a relatively new apprenticeship scheme both at work and college, I believe there have been some inevitable teething problems. just in some areas managers and teachers don't know what to do with us. It is much better now than when we first started though.
What is the annual salary for this role?
Starting salary: £15,000 - £17,000
Current salary: £15,000 - £17,000
What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
To be willing to learn. It doesn't matter if you have no prior knowledge as all training is given. Have interests in engineering and be able to adapt to change.
Do you have any interview tips?
To be varied as this job is different every day. Looking for someone who is innovative, not just fix an issue but make it better. Also, 'have a go' attitude.
