What are the Best and Worst things about your job?
Best
The flexibility. Undeniably one of the most attractive facets of working at Galliford Try is there attitude towards hybrid and flexible working arrangements. From top to bottom, there is an appreciation that employees deserve a fair work/life balance and that is definitely shown in their willingness to allow you to mould your work around your life.
Worst
There isn't anything that I would describe as the 'worst' thing about my job. From other people's perspectives, some aspects like staying away for a couple days may be unappealing but then again, these are not usually mandatory trips.
What is the annual salary for this role?
Starting salary: £19,000 - £21,000
Current salary: £21,000 - £23,000
What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Be yourself. Galliford Try rewards people who are enthusiastic and willing to learn but also value personality and ability to work with people from all backgrounds.
Do you have any interview tips?
Again, being yourself, letting your personality shine through whilst still being able to confidently answer the questions. Although I can't remember the exact questions, there was one curveball that caught me off guard and I had to be honest and say that I was struggling with the question. The interviewers are human too so they are more than willing to help you understand what they're asking you. Be professional, look happy to be there, act like you want the job.
