What are the Best and Worst things about your job?
Best
The variation in the job is brilliant. There's always some parts of the job that you will always have to do, but you get to do loads of different tasks throughout the pre construction and construction phases.
Worst
When you're not busy it can be boring. However you wont be idling forever and work will pick up again.
What is the annual salary for this role?
Starting salary: £19,000 - £21,000
Current salary: £25,000 - £27,000
What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Understand the role you are applying for and understand that it involves a lot of work. balancing a full time job and university assignments / exams is a big task. Time - Management is key!
Do you have any interview tips?
Be confident and Honest. You need to know the main things that a QS is responsible for (making the company money!).
