What are the Best and Worst things about your job?
Best
Currently have a close enough office location so commuting doesn't take more than an hour. Currently, get fuel allowance as I'm travelling to a temporary site office which some companies may not offer. Good, solid career progression.
Worst
As I'm titled a Trainee I am often expected to do the typical new staff member tasks, i.e. making tea, getting sandwiches etc. This is my third year as a QS and I've never really adapted to this sort of thing. Others in the office tend to get their backs up when I refuse to do this sort of thing - Not that it could bother me less.

Starting salary: £15,000 - £17,000

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Show long term interest in the role. Galliford Try are keen to keep staff for extended periods of time.
