What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Keep your CV concise and to the point, add all experience no matter how little to your CV, it may help. Ensure that there are no mistakes and all information is up-to-date.

Do you have any interview tips?

As my interview was more of a team building day, i would advise interviewees to be themselves, apply all effort and sell yourself! Additionally, talk to your possible future employers. My future bosses were the interviewers and during breaks we had the opportunity to have a general conversation with them, take advantage of this opportunity because they are able to grasp what type of person you are and how well you communicate with others (other than work wise).

During the interview, one task required each interviewee to stand up and talk about ourselves and why we were interested in the role. As i was the only girl in the interview, i was incredibly nervous but i thought to myself that i may never see some of the other interviewees ever again, so the best i can do is give it my all.

It is also important to dress appropriately for the interview, always dress smart. Although this may not be the everyday clothes you wear, it shows the employer that you care.

Finally, do some research on the company, i.e. (construction based) where they are based, what projects have they done, their successes etc.
